Nuclear Power Plant engineer who has been missing since Saturday evening.

16 September 2009: Authorities are searching for a Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant engineer who has been missing since Saturday evening. Cornelius “Neil” Hardy, 41, a cyber and systems security engineer for the nation’s largest nuke plant, was last seen at his home near 69th Avenue and Deer Valley Road in Glendale. According to police reports, his wife went out shopping while Hardy remained home with their 11 year-old daughter. When his wife returned home a few hours later, he was gone, although their daughter remained at home and asleep on the couch.

Annette Hardy, wife of the missing man, said that when she left her home at 6:30 p.m., Conrelius Hardy was in a room with their daughter, who was sleeping on a couch. When she returned at 8:30 p.m., the house looked normal but her husband was gone and the girl was still sleeping. Nothing in the residence appeared amiss.

HARDY apparently took his work phone with him when he left, but he left his badge behind, according to police. His wife has openly wondered whether his position at the nuke plant could have put him “at risk.”

Cornelius HARDY is described as a Black male, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. Also missing is HARDY’s silver Ridgeline Honda truck with black rims, bearing Arizona license plate GOWTIT. Since his sudden disappearance, there has been no indication of any spending on his credit or debit cards, and calls to his work phone have gone straight to voice mail.
